About

Nandun Fernando was called to the Bar and admitted on oath as an Attorney at Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka in July 2001. From such time onwards, Nandun had been engaged in civil litigation practice in Sri Lanka spanning the length and breadth of the country, across all forums from courts of first instance through appellate courts to the Supreme Court. Nandun graduated with an Honours degree in Quantity Surveying from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka in April 2003 and was enrolled as an Associate Member of Institute of Quantity Surveyors Sri Lanka with Chartered Quantity Surveyor status in October 2008 and was elevated as a Fellow Member in May 2019. Nandun was admitted as a Fellow Member of Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors in October 2020. He is also a Certified Cost Engineer (certified by AIQS, accredited by ICEC). Nandun has continuously been engaged in alternate dispute resolution schemes through negotiations, mediations, adjudications and arbitrations in many fields since enrolment as a legal practitioner and further in construction industry since becoming a Chartered Quantity Surveyor. Professional involvements include being a Member of the Governing Council of Institute of Quantity Surveyors Sri Lanka, the apex body of quantity surveying profession in the country. Nandun is also a Member of the Board of Governors of Sri Lanka National Arbitration Centre.
